I’m a huge fan of lists and my favorite lists are to-do/bucket lists. I have one for each new location I go to! I’ll keep it simple here and list the top domestic & international locations I want to visit along with a few things I want to do in each place. I’ll update my bucket list as I travel:
Domestic travel
The 5 states at the top of my list that I want to visit are: Oregon, Montana, Texas, Wyoming, and Alaska. Below are just a few of the places I want to visit & things I want to do in each state!
Oregon Bucket List: Multnomah Falls, Oneonta Gorge, Thor’s Well, St. Helen’s for Halloween, Ghost Forest, Crater Lake National Park, Smith Rock, Mt. Hood, and go to Portland.
Montana Bucket List: Glacier National Park, Triple Falls, and Flathead Lake.
Texas Bucket List: Jacob’s Well, kayak the Medina River, and visit Austin, Houston, & Dallas.
Wyoming Bucket List: Mammoth Springs, Jackson Hole, Yellowstone National Park, and go on the Alpine Slide on Jackson’s Hole.
Alaska Bucket List: Mendenhall Glacier Caves, Denali National Park, Harding Icefield, go whale watching, and see the Northen Lights.
International travel
The destinations at the top of my list to visit are: Australia, New Zealand, Portugal, Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, Thailand, and the Philippines. Below are just a few of the places I want to visit &things I want to do in each country!
Australia Bucket List: I want to see 12 Apostles, Lock and Gorge, Dragon’s Head, Pinnacles Cape Woolamai, attend Vivid Sydney, hike the Blue Mountains, see the shipwrecks in Brisbane, go to the Canberra Balloon Festival, visit The Kimberly, Karijini National Park, Elephant Rocks, see the Southern Lights, Bay of Fires, and Cape Pillar Sea Cave.
New Zealand Bucket List: I want to visit Nugget Point Lighthouse, go to the Glowworm caves, see Fox Glacier, the Moeraki Boulders, Elephant Rock, Rewa Rewa Bridge, go on the highest swing, go on the Lord of the Rings tour, go zorbing, and visit Auckland.
Portugal Bucket List: Belem Tower, the Forgotten Temple of Lysistrata, I want to zipline from Spain to Portugal, see the Initiation Well, and visit Sao Miguel Island.
Norway Bucket List: See the Northern Lights, the Seven Sisters Waterfall, Pulpit Rock, hike the Kjeragbolten (and soak in all the views!), and go on the Norway Sky bridge.
Switzerland Bucket List: I want to go on a canyon walk in Aare Gorge, visit the St. Beatus Caves, Lake Oeschinen, Trift Bridge, and ride the Switzerland Express train.
Iceland Bucket List: Selfoss Waterfall, Valley of Tears, Seljalandsfoss Waterfall (and pretty much all of the waterfalls!), the Crystal Caves, Hvitserkur (Stone Rhino), go snorkeling between tectonic plates, visit the Strokkhur Geysir, Blue Lagoon, and go to Reykjavik.
Thailand Bucket List: Sukhothai Ruins, go to Maya Bay beach, Temples of Angkor, Doi Inthanon, attend a floating lantern festival, go sea cave canoeing, and visit Bangkok.
Philippines Bucket List: I want to swim with whale sharks, visit Boracay beach, Palawan Island, and Tumalog Falls.
